I pulled around a customer’s 2015 Camaro SS Convertible. I need one. I’ve wanted a convertible forever. But today, hearing that V8 and feeling how stupidly quick it was (even for only 500 feet) made me realize I need a V8 Convertible. Maybe I’m ready to embrace my inner Jersey Shore.

This car is not safe. It’s not FWD. It’s American. It isn’t turbocharged. This is so against my Swedish mentality.

Sadly that’s true now.

My dad was from Jersey. He had an 80s Iroc Camaro (with T tops!) And that seems super Jersey!

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t online looking only at V8 Convertibles

Oh they look excellent. But when murdered out and plastered with Famous Stars and Straps decals, it adds a certain Jersey shore flavor you can’t get elsewhere.

When you check to see what other four-seat V8 convertibles are available with a manual, the thought of purchasing one becomes a lot more reasonable.

Oh please - plan was to get a Mustang GT convertible right out of law school, but I could not get far enough from the clutch (bought a ‘97 SHO). And I am an overeducated Manhattan liberal who does his best not to buy things from red states.

My graduation gift to me was a pair of Jamo speakers - nearly 20 years later and they still sound great, even with a serious soundtrack. The car was a bit later.
